About Freedom Foods, LLC
In May 2008 Cathy Bacon, founder and President of Hillside Lane Farm, Ltd., advanced plans to open an artisan food consulting and production company for specialty foods.
Freedom Foods, LLC provides comprehensive food consulting, product development, and co-packing services for dry, wet, liquid and baked food items. Maximizing the use of local agriculture ingredients, products made at Freedom Foods are available on our Hillside Lane Farm website and are distributed locally to natural and specialty food stores.
Freedom Foods supports concept, development and co-packing services for a diverse range of artisan food and beverage products. Its manufacturing facilities provide automated lines for liquid and condiment filling, extrusion, baking, dehydration for national and international distributed products from their certified organic, kosher and gluten free facility.
With a focus on natural, allergen free and foods, Freedom Foods has the pleasure of supporting companies nationwide in bringing new products to market. Many of the products made at Freedom Foods are also available for private label.
We continue our focus on using locally raised agricultural ingredients and work with local farmers to compost food waste from production activities. Locally distributed products are transported using existing and established trucking lines, therefore not adding to fuel and energy consumption. Our facility was completely retrofitted and insulated during construction, and heat generated from our processing and storage equipment minimizes fuel consumption.
In summer 2020 we broke ground on a 16,000 square foot building expansion that provides shelf stable, refrigerated and frozen warehousing space to our co-packing clients.
